Hi, my name is*****'m a certified appraiser, and I"m happy to help.

How old is the sax? How much use has it had? Has it been recently serviced?

Jennifer

My Dad purchased it for me new in 1973. I was used a lot while I was in high school. I graduated High School in 1977. Since then, used a few times a year. It has always been very well maintained, and was recently re-padded.

Fully tuned up and refurbished, from a reputable vintage music dealer, this would go for up to $8000.

If you are looking to re-sell yourself, it would likely be closer to $4000.

Please let me know if I can help further.

Sincerely,

Jennifer

Thanks I wanted to know for insurance purposes
Expert:  jennem22 replied 8 months ago.

For insurance purposes, I would set coverage for your 1973 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone at a retail replacement value of $8,000.00.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
