My Knabe Parlor Grand was my Mother's gh School graduation

Customer Question

My Knabe Parlor Grand was my Mother's High School graduation present in 1938. I had it refinished, the soundboard redone and restrung in 1977. It was used privately and retuned since then. It still has the original ivory keys.
If I donate it, what I could I claim for a write off?

Hi, thanks for your question. Be advised, your accountant may require you have a written appraisal done for tax purposes. However, I can give you my opinion of what the piano is worth if that's helpful.
