you either have an intake vacuum leak or the jets are restricted.

if you must glue the intake spigot boot in place to prevent leaks, it indicates it is damaged and needs to be replaced.

you can check for intake leaks by spraying carb cleaner on intake seals with the engine on idle.

if you did not clean the extremely small fuel and air holes in the jets, you should clean them or replace them with new jets.

Jets are open as .well as all other passages in carb.Sprayed carb cleaner while running .No change
Motorcycle Mechanic: Steve, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 5 months ago

how many turns open is the idle mixture screw?

Ask Your Own Motorcycle Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
I've tried it all the way in or as far out as it would go , has no effect
Motorcycle Mechanic: Steve, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 5 months ago

that indicates the passage is restricted.

your air/fuel mixture is lean.

the engine should idle with the idle mature screw 1 1/2 - 2 turns out from lightly seated.

When I had carb apart , I blew air & ran a wire through every passage I could find, unless something has gotten back in it.
Motorcycle Mechanic: Steve, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 5 months ago

the idle mixture screw throttles fuel from the pilot jet to the engine side of the throttle plate.

if adjustment makes no change and the engine doesn't idle without the enrichener on.....it's clogged.

you can either fix it or have someone fix it for you.

I'll recheck that when I get a chance
Motorcycle Mechanic: Steve, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 5 months ago

you might try adding SEAFOAM to the fuel. it will aid in cleaning the carburetor after you get the idle passage open.
