The revs in my kawa 1000 do not increase up form 6k once passing to 4th. It keeps the bike steady under 160km/h

Initially, let's try check and review the basics. Proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done) and even if just for test purposes:

  • • remove and inspect the spark plugs;
  • • determine burn color of the tips;
  • • inspect the air box and filter;
  • • ensure tightly/correctly fitted with no possible air leak;
  • • and unobstructed air flow only through the entry slot of the air box cover.
