Hello, sorry you've had to wait for assistance. There is not always an expert available for a specific issue, I have just come online and will assist you.

The friction discs will have a fiber on them while the steels will be smooth. I'll post a diagram HERE and Video HERE which shows how they go in according to thickness.

My goal is to provide 5 star service. Rating/accepting does not cost extra and ensures I'm credited for my time and knowledge. It also does not close your question if you have a follow up concerning this. Thank you for using Just Answer!

Is there supposed to be slack in the rod that connects the clutch Arm to the clutch cable because when I pull the handle it Pulls in and stays there what do I do
Motorcycle Mechanic: kwiggins29059, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 3 months ago

It should be fairly tight with just a little play. It should spring back. It has to be in a certain position on the clutch rod. The video HERE shows that around 24:40 or so. Also make sure you have not over tightened the clutch spring bolts. They should be around 5.5ft lb.
