slip-on are an option but you will not see the gain as with a complete 2-into-one system.

D&D or Thundercone slip-ons would be my choice.

the best bolt-on option for exhaust is D&D 2-into-1's (several choices, all American made) or a Thunderheader.

you may be able to make more power with a Supertrapp, but you're going to spend all day on a dyno doing it and it won't be much better than D&D or T'header right out of the box.

I would recommend a K&N air filter to go with whatever you choose.

I like the Arlen Ness Big Suckers, but there are several choices available for any taste.

when you can, install a S&S 510G gear drive cam kit with a screamin eagle adjustable pushrod kit.

let me know if you need more help.

Thanks, ***** ***** forget to say Its a heritage, so has 1 pipe running under each leather bag. Will bike need any re-figuring of computer after new exhst. and cam kit?

fuel inj. too.
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Heritage Classic if that matters.

none of that matters to me. your question was about performance improvement. you will never achieve the performance improvement with a dual exhaust that you can get with a 2-into-1 exhaust.

slip-ons will allow you to keep dual exhaust, if aesthetics are more important than performance.

of course the air/fuel mixture will need to be adjusted for any changes you may make to the intake or exhaust.

the HD "Stage 1 Download" is a generic download that will allow you to modify the intake and exhaust.

let me know if you need more help.
