This answer was rated:

can my*****king use the same Harley synthic oil in the engine, primary, and transmission ?
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: 5000 miles or 3 months
JA: What is the model of your '06 motorcycle?
Customer: flhs
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?

JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: CAN I USE THE SAME SYNTHIC HARLEY MOTOR OIL IN THE ENGINE,TNANSMISON, AND PRIMARY/

Harley Davidson advertising states that "SYN3 oil is a proprietary blend created specifically for Harley Davidson motors, transmissions and primary chaincases".

so the answer to your question is yes, according to the motor company, you can.

the rest of the question is, would you?

I would not. it's acceptable for the engine oil.

I wouldn't put it in the primary except in an emergency. there are cheaper priamary lubes that will provide an adequate oil bath for the chain.

I use gear lube in the transmission. I would never use engine oil in the transmission, except in an emergency.

if you would like my recommendations for what to use, please ask.
