JA: Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked the bulbs?
Customer: the bulbs yes, even replaced them
JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: 2006 Honda CBR 600RR
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes it is just me. first timer. i have a manual. so far just the bulbs right now. i'm wondering if there is a short, since the rest of the lights work

Initially, let's try check and review the basics. Proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done):

  • • check / clean the STARTer button switch internally;
  • • there is a hidden headlight cutoff switch;
  • • that turns off the headlight supply when starting;
  • • for test purposes, jump the black/red and the blue/white wires.
