I have a vstar 1100 and the battery is charged, the starter

Customer Question

I have a vstar 1100 and the battery is charged, the starter just makes a whining noise when I attempt to start it and it will not fire.
JA: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
Customer: i have and no they are not. it is a fairly new battery too. Maybe 2 months old
JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: 2000 Yamaha Vstar 1100
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, and i have tried to jump it and bump start it. neither worked.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: not that i can think of, thank you
