JA: How many miles are on the car? What size is the engine?
Customer: 7300 and 865cc
JA: What year is your Bonneville?
Customer: 2014
JA: Are you fixing your Bonneville yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes. am away from home and have only turned the knob near the choke

Hi there,

It sounds like you might have an air leak around the intake somewhere. I would check for cracks or holes in the boots around the carburetor. You can also try spraying some carb cleaner on the intake boots while running and if the idle goes up then you know you have an air leak. Also be sure to check the condition of your air filter.
