Customer Question

I have a 1998 Honda ATV 300 and I need to know how to install a switch assy.
JA: Are you fixing your 300 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, so far I replaced the starter relay and reinstalled the battery and there is no power to the switch.
JA: Is the power loss consistent, or does it fluctuate?
Customer: consistent
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hi and welcome to the site, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, bear with us; re-confirm and post back which "...switch assy..." Additionally, why was the starter relay replaced please?

Still, is the Honda completely / electrically dead? ...just now after the repair/replacement was done? ...or even before any of the work was started?

switch assembly is the key on the dash, replaced because you would hit the starter button and nothing happened, there is power to the starter but nothing beyond that, nothing to the relay or anyplace else. after the starter relay was replaced I hooked the battery back up and there was to power after the starter not before the work was started.
