200 cc big red 1985. No power to the coil. Is their a breaker or fuse in the wireing. I can not seem to find one

Hi Robert, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially and to my recollection, just a single fuse along the red wire from the battery's + terminal.

Still, proposed preliminary checks (if have not been done):

  • • check / temporarily disconnect KILL wire (black) to the CDI unit;
  • • do the same to the REVERSE wire (grey) to the CDI unit;
  • • measure resistances of pick-up coil and exciter coil;
  • • test for pulsating voltages from the pick-up and exciter coils when attempting to start.
