Customer Question

I have the ultima 113 ( polished). Just got it started and tuned, but only going a couple of miles it dies. Ran it once with the fuel cap loose to check for venting and that did't change anything, still died. The motor will still crank over but won't restart until it cools all the way down.
JA: Have you checked the fuel supply? And are all the spark plugs working?
Customer: Yes and yes. The motor seems to be pretty worm and was wondering about vapor lock???
JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: It is a custom softtail that I built from scratch. and the motor is 1999... Sorry this takes me so long but I am no typist....
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes so far... Just venting the fuel cap. Thought about a longer fuel line to keep a way from the cylinders and the heat/
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: .NO..

Hello, have you used a spark checker to verify it's a fuel issue?
