12 RZR 570 efi fuel pump engaged for the 4 or 5 sec start up

Customer Question

12 RZR 570 efi fuel pump engaged for the 4 or 5 sec start up but doesn't build much psi. I wasn't too know how to verify if I need a pump or regulator or something else. I don't want to throw parts at it.
JA: Have you ever replaced the fuel pump, or is this the original?
Customer: Only had it a year now I'm assuming it's original
JA: What is the model of your '12 motorcycle?
Customer: Polaris RZR 570 efi
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes. I pulled the fuel line and attached a house to verify fuel flow, good. I assumed with an open line the pump would continue to run. Not so
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: All I have is it ran well last week in the yard and now it won't start. Fuel into the carb allows for brief run

Hi, my name is ***** ***** you pulled the line off from the pump, and it has low pressure, then it can only be a bad fuel pump, the regulator runs off the reurn line, so it will not be a bad regulator, replace the pump,Tim
