1975 FLH Shovel,battery discharges after 1day,battery holds charge when disco nnected from bike,could there be a issue with regulator rectifier module & stator.
JA: Have you checked all the fuses? Do you have a wiring diagram?
Customer: Yes
JA: What is the model of your '75 motorcycle?
Customer: Electro Glide FLH
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes,have had issues with electric start,have had to change starter motor,solernoid & starter relay,bike start & runs well
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

there may be an issue with the regulator but I suspect the major is a grounded stator.

- disconnect the regulator from the stator plug and measure the resistance of each stator connector pin to ground. use the engine as ground. use the highest ohm scale on the meter.
