I'm looking for the key code on my bike. I had lost the key and heard that I can find the key code on the stamped on the side of the key ignition
JA: Do you have a scan tool to read the codes?
Customer: The code The codes should just be a set of letters and numbers.
JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: 2008 kawasaki 600 zzr
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Theirs noting wrong with the bike. I just lost my key and I'm trying to find out if their is a key code on my bike somewhere so I can get a new key without a locksmith examining the bike
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

The key code is on the cylinder, but you pretty much need to destroy the cylinder to remove it! Call the dealer and give them the VIN of your bike, they will be able to look up the key code from build data.
