Customer Question

I have a 2008 Spyder GS 5 speed. On the road and hundreds of miles from nearest motorcycle repair shop. Problem: vehicle started chugging and stalling. On restart, idle is very low then chugs and stalls. Ideas? Roadside solution? Thanks!

Hi John, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done):

  • • drain-clean tank and replace with fresh fuel (even if just to eliminate as a suspect);
  • • check/clean fuel path (least likely);
  • • check/soak/clean injectors (likely);
  • • if able, test fuel pump output pressure (most likely).
