I had the screaming eagle cam plate, oil pump and andrews 37

Customer Question

I had the screaming eagle cam plate, oil pump and andrews 37 cams installed in my 2004 softail by a local shop. on startup there was a clacking noise and oil flow was enemic on the return. The engine was shut down and camchest disassembled. A needle bearing was found in the oil pump gerotors, two more in the camchest.
The shop will install a new oil pump and cam bearings with a couple of flushes to hopefully remove any more junk.
any idea what happened and is this the proper fix ?

it sounds like they installed Andrews cams without replacing the INA cam bearings with torrington bearings.
