JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: 2002 ultra classic Electra gluide
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I think that t might be fuel filter
JA: Has the vehicle turned into a gas hog? And how does it start -- same as usual?
Customer: No good has mileage
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Starts good runs good for about 20 minuted then spits and spitters

the most common temperature related issue with that bike is a fault with the Engine temperature sensor.

if it had anything to do wit the fuel filter, it wouldn't wait until the engine is warmed up to have an effect.

I would check the charging system before deciding to change anything though.

measure the battery voltage under the following conditions:

- ignition OFF.

- ignition ON.

- with the tart button depressed.

- with the engine at about 2,000 rpm.
