d08 is not an error code on that model.

I suspect your charging system has failed, or your battery is bad. it's easy enough to tell if you have a voltmeter.

measure the battery voltage, with the engine warmed up where it usually faults, as follows:

- with the ignition switch OFF.

- with the ignition switch ON.

- with the start button depressed.

- with the engine at about 2000 rpm (fast idle).

let me know what you find.

Hot at Fault Point: Ign. Off = 13.29. Start Button On = 13.26. Ign. On = 13.24. Fast Idle = 17.60. This time it blew Lights Fuse.

your system is over charging.

the battery voltage should NEVER be more than 15 vdc.

your regulator/rectifier has failed.

replace the regulator/rectifier and repeat the voltage check.

I would expect the battery to read 12.7 vdc at rest, and 14.2 vdc at 2,000 rpm.

let me know if you need more help.

Steve, I just replaced the Voltage Regulator, maybe before replacing it I should check the way I wired it.

OK. Put another Voltage Regulator on i had and went for a ride to get things Hot again. Battery Voltage at High Idle is 14.0 to 14.6. But now, like I said earlier blew Lights Fuse on first ride this morning and Acc. Fuse. With new lights fuse in no lights. Put new Acc. fuse (3) and they keep blowing when i turn Ign. Switch to Acc. Position.
