Brand new plugs and fresh oil change and transmission fluid . What else Steve?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It's got 25,000 miles the gas mileage does seem to be less I fill up more.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What about the fuel filter ? Or the idle speed control
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When it warms up it runs better. But it always dies at idle
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What's a dyno turn ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Any thoughts buddy? I really hate putting it in neutral at every stop and keep giving it has to not stall
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
HELLO?? Anybody out there??
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

ok......what did the spark plugs look like that you took out to put the new ones in?

what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

what is the idle rpm when the engine is warmed up?

tell me everything you can.

Steve

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't know the mileage it's not that bad I just noticed it. But not likes its real bad . Sprak plugs looked fine
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have no idea what's the idle rpm?
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

the most common cause of your problem is when people turn down the idle rpm because they think it makes the bike sound cool, but the engine is unable to idle reliably if it is too low.

set....or have someone set.....the idle rpm to 1,000 rpm.

let me know if you need more help.

Why are you trying to direct me to? What are your thoughts ? What are your reply to what I asked about those 2 parts
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There is a set screw that is by the air filter that I kept turning different ways to get the idle to go up ? But it did not make a differance ? Is that the idle rpm?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The bikes been running fine this had happened just the last 3 months
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have to take it to a dealer ? To do that idle rpm to 1,000 ? That would cost a penny
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
When I turn they screw with a hex wrench which way should I go?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
To the front of the bike righty tighty lefty loose Y ??
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

your other option would be to purchase the equipment required to set the RPM per the service manual, as well as a service manual, and perform the maintenance yourself.

the allen screw you have been turning is for the cold idle speed. NOW.....you need to have the dealership set your cold idle, as well as the warm idle rpm.

One last question I was told to do that when the bike is warm the idle speed . Where is the warm idle speed ?
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

HOW are you going to adjust the warm idle speed if you have indication of RPM?

the specification is 950 - 1050 rpm.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I wasted 28 bucks for this texing ? And now have to pay 120 a hour at Harley ?
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

I opt out.

best of luck.
