I have a 1984 honda goldwing,,no problems until now,,turn

i have a 1984 honda goldwing,,no problems until now,,turn key on push starter button and nothing [but as i push button head lite gos out until i release the starter buttom],,new batt,new stator,got power to starter switch,,put new solinoid and it started fine all day today then stopped working again,, help,,,thanks

The most likely problem is dirty, corroded contacts inside the start button switch. You can confirm this by using a test light on the starter solenoid switch wires green/red or yellow red should have power every time the start button is pressed. If not then check the button switch contacts. You will have to be very careful disassembling the switch as there are several very small parts inside and none of the individual parts are available separately only as a complete switch assembly. Clean the copper contact surfaces of the switch with a scotchbrit pad and contact cleaner and apply some dielectric grease before reassembling.
