I have a 2004 Yamaha big bear 400 push button start won't

Customer Question

I have a 2004 Yamaha big bear 400 push button start won't work
JA: Will the headlights turn on? Is the battery fully charged?
Customer: Neutral light is on and headlights are on. I grounded the blue and blk wire on the start relay and hooked the blue and whit terminal to 12v and it starts turning over
JA: What is the make/model of your car?
Customer: I just know it's 2004 big bear 4wd with selectable 4wd this model only has two wires from the key switch
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's a new start stop switch and start relay . I did notice the blue and whit wire from chi to the start relay was burnt looking
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Cdi not chi
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.
