2004 dyna ... bike stopped running on a trip yesterday. On the road side check all visual. Noticed the ground wire from battery to block was broke off... Replaced it... AAA guy boosted the bike but the red key light came on in the speedo.... since then the bike will not start...what I mean is you hit the start button and NO juice to the starter and then the red key light comes on.... Did the diagnostic check and keep getting "no rsp" on the TSP module.... could this module be burnt out ??

Customer: engine does not turn over nor is there any noise to the starter...battery is brand new 4 weeks old...

the broken battery cable has forced the security system to a stolen mode.

the system needs to be reset by a HD dealership.

they will require proof of ownership.

DAM.... LOL thought we could do it our self selves... Thanks for confirming this least we know it will not be a wasted tow to the dealership.

that is how it prevents your bike from being stolen.

once the thief cuts the battery cable to disable the alarm, the security system disables the starter.

once the word gets out, thieves will quit stealing Harley's.
