I mistakenly hooked up a new battery with the leads reversed

Customer Question

I mistakenly hooked up a new battery with the leads reversed on a 2007 Arctic Cat 650H1. What damage is caused by reverse polarity and should I now take it to a dealer?
Thanks,
Todd
