I recently bought a 2008 FLHT. It ran problems

Customer Question

I recently bought a 2008 FLHT. It ran problems other than having to replace an old battery. Now after initial startup I can take off at normal throttle and it runs fine for short time. After I stop or use the clutch I notice it will idle up slightly and then I have no throttle response. Is this what is referred to as "limp mode"? What can I do to remedy this?

Usually this is due to a throttle position sensor issue, it's pretty common. If you would run through the computer self test and let me know if any codes are present. Below is a link on how to do it. Click here
