Customer Question

I have a 2003 Kim 125 sx and the drain plug on the right (kick side
) fell out and nobody even the Kim dealer keeps giving me the wrong plug it seems nobody knows what size it is the manual says 6mm x 12 mm with 1.25 but that's way to small an 8mm is too small and a 10mm is too big! I'm at my wits end it seems like it's just not any size - it's the right side plug the other is still in but it's not the same size as the one that's missing - please help

Are you the original owner?Yes 6x12mm is what it calls for
It sounds like the threads in the case are either threaded to a larger size and maybe American thread because no one offers a 9mm bolt.
Or (more likely) it has had a thread repair that has gone bad.
A "time sert" could very easily be an odd size as it uses a new threaded sleeve. A helicoil insert would to.
