Customer Question

Name is ***** *****. Have a mule 1000 kaf450. No spark. Power to coils. Coils test good. Regulator/rectifier is bad. Will that kill spark?
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Shut down while riding in field. Would not turn over. New solanoid. No turn over. Hot wire from key switch not making it back to solanoid. Ran jumper turns over but no spark. Tested wires and have power where it is suppose to be but no spark.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Motorcycle Mechanics generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...Initially, a faulty regulator/rectifier would only fail to charge the battery BUT would not cause a no-spark issue.Still, proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done):• temporarily disconnect the kill wire to/from the ignition switch usually black or white/black;• test the igniter's output to the ignition coil for pulsating voltage when attempting to start.
