hi rob - i have the same issue as is posted. Haven't checked spark but i put a brand new CDI on it

I am not sure what issue you are referring to but I am guessing its a no start.

Let's start out by checking the spark and go from there. A Big Bear, as do most modern ATV's, have ignition producing components (Stator, CDI Box, Coil) and ignition controlling (safety switches and relays). A failure on either side will cause a no spark, but we want to be sure we don't have spark before we diagnose that system. Make sure when you test for spark you either have a known good spark plug or start with a brand new plug. Spark plugs, Although it may not be the problem on your ATV, are the most common cause for no start.
