This question is for a 1993 Polaris sportsman 4x4

It uses an eccentric tightener system.You loosen the eccentric clamp bolts and insert punch pins through to hold the eccentrics and roll the bike to increase or decreasethe chain tension.Rear chain has to have at least one and one-quarter inch of slackto prevent damage to the drive system.Be sure to remove the punches and re-lock the eccentricclamp bolts after adjustment.---

That's what I did but where I made the mistake was i was using wrong hole where you install the punch. I was going thru the sproket. Thanks man your awesome.

Hope you got the chain tightened okay.
Forward chains are okay with less freeplay
but rear suspension travel is greater so
the rear chain needs the 1-1/4" inches
of play. Take care!
