Customer Question

I have a '95 Royal Star 1300. I have gas leaking out of the air vent tube on the left side (choke side) of the bike. Any ideas?

It sounds like a stuck or dirty float valve needleinside a carburetor. Try tapping the float bowlsand it might stop. It might need the needlesand valve seats checked for wear but most likely justdirt or rust flakes or some rubber from a fuel lineis jamming the needle open and flooding the carb.Blowing some carb cleaner gently down the fuel linesinto the carb might clean it out otherwise you wouldhave to remove the carbs and clean or replace thefloat needles and valve seats.Might just be one carb that the vent goes tois the problem.Let me know if I can help further.
