I have a 2006 Honda rancher, it wont start and the head lights don't work, I can mash the foot break and hold a hand break and it will start.

Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...Initially, proposed preliminary checks (if have not been tried):• neutral position switch, indicator circuit including the diode, shifting circuit;• connectors/wiring harness;• good ground connections - engine and frame to the battery's - terminal.Please post back results / observations of the above once tried.
