Lifan 168f-2 engine connected to a pump steam cleaner

lifan 168f-2 engine connected to a pump for a steam cleaner ,runs for 2 - 6 minutes then switches of.
Changed ignition coil, oil cut of switch working ok, its like the governor turns to the of position.engine restarts every time but then switches of,any ideas?

Are you sure it is the spark that is stopping, sounds a bit like a plugged fuel tank or cap vent preventing the fuel flow temporarily.--

when the engine cuts out its instant .it doesn't slowly turn of eg( when you turn the on/of switch ) of. it runs then all you see is the throttle butterfly pull hard to the close position which in turn kills the happy with the electrical side. ive had the float canister of .float opens and shuts as normal.havnt yet cleaned carburettor properly.

Have you checked the valve clearance? Some engines will run cold and then stop when hot if the valves are a bit tight. The compression just goes and then comes back after cooling a bit.---

If the valve clearance is .002" then try blockingthe throttle open to see if it will keep running.Open the gas cap just in case. Thenclean carb.---

Check for air leaks around carb mountthat could lean out the fuel mixture.---
