Customer Question

I have a 1997 Monster 900. It has not been used for quite some time, it starts up fine although the clutch seems to be stuck as it jumps when I put into first gear. Any tips on how to get it to release

If the clutch is totally stuck you might be
able to break it loose by driving in higher
gears with the clutch pulled in.
You can sometimes put the front wheel against something
solid like a building and try to break the clutch free.
If the clutch is totally stuck it might need to be removed
and the discs checked for warpage or rusting.
Jumping a bit can be normal when started cold.
Too much and it needs repair.
