Scruff here. Last nite I saw the link you sent me to today but needed to know if you can provide more details. It looks like for the amount of hardware included in the kit that it will work on several models & years.Could you elaborate on how to install the kit on my particular model ? 1974 Sporty all stock with no frame modifications.

you're over thinking this.

mount your tanks to the brackets, then set the whole thing on the frame.

change the brackets around however you have to for the tanks to set on the frame the way you want them to and so that the holes in the brackets align with the tank mounting holes in the frame.

use whatever hardware is necessary to bolt it all together.

once you get into it will all come together.

give it a try and let me know if you need more help.

I have fat bob tank mount kit #348-0224 which allows a person to mount a pair of old style fat bob tanks to a sportster frame from 1957-1978. the first person I asked didn't give me the correct mounting instructions so I am asking for another mechanic for hie input.
