Customer: Hi there, Looking for help. I have a 2010 Vulcan 1700 Classic ABS. I wanted a a bit of extra noise so I debaffled the mufflers and removed the CATS. I then was looking to optimise its potential so installed a Cobra Fuel procesor Fi2000 POWRPRO (92-1965AT). It seems to make the bike run quite a bit better. Smoother and better acceleration, cleaner throught the gears, and better economy. Only problem is that after 20 minutes or so of riding the bike starts to hesistate, miss, and basically run pretty badly. I contacted Cobra and they advised me that there fuel processor has not been developed for the Australian market. They said it was designed for US bikes that don't run an Oxygen Sensor.
I then thought I maight be able to solve the problem by installing an oxygen sensor eliminator. This had a very similar result. Ran great for approx 20 minutes and then started to miss, hesitate, backfire, basically ran really badly.
Cobra Advised me that they don't have any pipes that will suite Australian VN1700 Classics.
Have I wasted my money on the Fuel processor? Do you have any other suggestions as to what I can do? ie. another type of O2 eliminator / stimulator?
