Hi
I'm sure we can work this out fairly easily !

Have the lights always been so ?
If not did anything happen prior to this problem arising ?
Do you have a manual for this bike ?

no ,,,no,,, and no bought bike in april used ... one day my buddy noticed my tailight was blown and I bought another bulb and its never been right since... the bulb is the correct one
Motorcycle Mechanic: Bike-Doc, Motorcycle Mechanic replied 8 years ago
Hi
This problem is most likely caused either by the connections on the bulb casing not making contact with their appropriate points in the bulb holder - possibly due to the wires having been transposed or the bulb being in backwards or by one of the filaments having broken & fallen onto the other
Otherwise badly corroded connections can also cause strange problems like this
I have recently repaired a lighting system that had the headlight bulb on with light switch off & no low beam unless the brake light was actuated - This was all caused by badly corroded rear light connections
I hope this clears things up for you
