Ross, The 2003 Road King is a great bike and very popular. The same model was made for 9 years, with changes only to computer systems and such. Either model (injected or carb) is a good bike. The twin cam motor is a good motor also, most bugs where worked out in the first two years. The engine has been used since 1999.

I would say you will be fine, buy the bike and enjoy. Congrats on getting back on the road.
