I've got an 07 road classic w/ 19000 miles. I just went to start it. It turned over and ran for a a couple of seconds,

Customer: I've got an 07 road king classic w/ 19000 miles. I just went to start it. It turned over and ran for a a couple of seconds, then died. The 15 amp ignition fuse had blown. I replaced it but it immediately blows when the ignition switch is turned on, even with the run switch off. What can I do to fix the problem? No Harley mechanic nearby.

Find the loose bare wire, or component with the short, ie. ignition switch/wires, wires under the tank, near the trees, right switch housing internal issues, ecm plugs..... I'd check the motor & head light grounds too.
No doubt, glad it didn't spark.
