after the bottom end is set at TDC, install the camshafts so the lobes are pointing away and up.imagine two hands of a clock at about 9 pm and 3 am. install the cams, then the cam towers, then tensioner. turn by hand to verify the timing is correct before you crank with starter

if installed correctly, there will be lines on the sprockets that are parallel with the cyl. head surface
