Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are several things that could be making your noise. It could be coming from the bottom end such as a rod bearing or wristpin issue, it could be a valvetrain issue, it may be an exhaust leak, a cam timing issue, or the noise could be coming from an engine driven accessory.

Have you used a stethoscope to determine that the noise is actually coming from inside the engine?
