2013 Outlander Sport - from wipers won't seem to go into the

Customer Question

HI there - 2013 Outlander Sport - from wipers won't seem to go into the full down parked position - but other than that they work OK
JA: Have you checked the fuses? Do you know if there is power to the wiper motor?
Customer: Yep - fuses look good unless there is a separate one for it to park - wipers work in all positions but just won't go down into the park piste without on/off until it hits bottom
JA: Are you fixing your Outlander Sport yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes - just investigating - know there is power to the motors since they work - looked at fuses marked for wipers and they look good - not sure if there is a separate one for them to park -? All wiper modes work - delay, slow and fast
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope not really - and no codes are being thrown either

Hi Im David, there is no separate fuse for the wiper. please allow me a moment to pull up some info for you.

Expert:  david craig replied 10 months ago.

there are separate contacts inside the wiper motor and the park contact has failed. you will need to replace the wiper motor and everything will be fine.
