I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport the radio antenna is

I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport the radio antenna is broken the motor does not run so I guest I have to replace the complete antenna I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to removing the antenna.
JA: Have you checked the fuse?
Customer: no but there is nothing left of the antenna and I don't see any inner parts nothing to grab a hold of
JA: Are you fixing your Montero Sport yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have tried to take the fender off but am having trouble getting it to come loose I have it loose on top also I bought a non power antenna
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
