I have a 1997 Mirage LS coupe. I replaced the starter

Customer Question

I have a 1997 Mirage LS coupe. I replaced the starter switch. I don't have dash lights, radio lights (it works) and the lights on the shifter in the console. I have checked all of the fuses with a multi meter and they are good. It appeared that there was only one plug on the switch. Did I miss a connection?
JA: Have you checked the fuses? The dashboard bulbs?
Customer: As stated, yes.
JA: Are you fixing your Mirage yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: just checking the fuses both in the interior and under the hood
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I just replaced the starter, alternator, and new battery.

Hello and welcome to Justanswer!

I'm assuming it was the ignition switch that was replaced. The illumination circuit does run through the ignition switch, coming in on the green/white wire in pin 13, back out on the green/white in pin 14. It's possible that you have a bad or incorrect switch.

Was there any heat damage to the connector or terminals?
