Can't figure out how to work the ac on a 2001 Mitsubishi mirage
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: Yes this was filled but the dashboard light as we do not have a manual and it is yellow
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: All turns on but the light is yellow and sends hot air... when turned off or no light it is also hot air
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

Do you own a volt meter so we can do some electrical tests?

Since you do not have the means to diagnose and figure out what is wrong I assume your asking what to expect as possible causes prior to going to a shop.

  • This an be a HVAC control switch failure
  • Compressor ECU failure
  • PCM
  • Pressure switch.
