i have a 2003 montero sport 3.5 installed a timing belt bought new cam sensors and i lined up all arrows to top dead center and the truck stumbles and turn off

Hi,First off, did you use genuine Mitsubishi cam/crank sensors purchased from a dealership or aftermarket? This is important, as aftermarket sensors do not work properly on these trucks.Second... was the timing belt and sensors replaced as routine maintenance, or did something occur to necessitate replacement?

i bought them at auto zone the reason i bought them is because i thought this would fix my problem

Thanks.First thing we need to do is to get the original sensors back on there. As for your issue if it was stumbling/shutting off prior to the timing belt job... have you had any check engine lights set during this period or no?Does it always restart OK?When it is running/driving, does it seem like it is running normally during those times and only for example stumbling/stalling at stops?
