Hi my name is***** am a diagnostic technician and look forward to working with you.

These codes are pointing to a problem with communication between the transmission control unit (TCM) and the engine ECU, the communication is provided via the CAN-BUS System. There may be a fault on one of the BUS lines, this is often caused by a bad connection however unfortunately these codes point to a faulty transmission control unit if the CAN-BUS Is OK.

Ideally now if not already done, further diagnostics should be carried out on the CAN Network and the transmission control unit. Most OBD Scanners cannot do this so a high level or dealer level diagnostic system is required to talk to the TCM and the CAN Network. If loss of ID/Communication is found the CAN Wiring between the control units should be tested and inspected. If this is proven to be OK, the TCM is the suspect.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions, if your happy with my answer please don't forget to provide a rating, thanks, Ross.

Will it do damage as it's cutting out frequently
Expert:  Ross replied 1 year ago.

It is unlikely to cause any physical damage to the vehicle, but it is obviously inconvenient if the vehicle cuts out, as well as being potentially dangerous so the fault should be investigated further and repaired as necessary as soon as is conveniently possible.
