Mitsubishi Eclipse GS: 1995 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 automatic

Customer Question

1995 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 automatic While driving the car it will occasionally quit running. but will start right back up The problem is not constant, the vehicle can run fine up t0 3 days before the problem reappears fuel pressure checks fine, checked at idle as well while driving all appears good. No apparent problem there. ignition switch does not appear to show signs of excessive wear. Any ideas where to look next... P.S thought of putting a ground cable from block to frame making sure of good contact, incase there is a ground issue problem. Just a little stuck .....

Hi. My name is ***** ***** I will assist you with your concern today. Please rate my assistance after we have concluded chatting.
Most commonly for a stalling and restarting concern the crank sensor is at fault. Have you replaced that yet?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Good Morning Eric ! stalling yes, but there is no problem re-starting , no prolonged cranking. either being a cols start, or a restart situation, the vehicle starts right up no delay thanks Jeff

OH no have not changed crank sensor as of yet Jeff

What is helpful, is to watch the tachometer or the rpms with a scan tool, and when the vehicle stalls, see if the rpms drop quick. Almost as if it goes down before the engine stalls. This could indicate crank sensor is cutting out.
