have a 02 mitsubishi eclipse.trying to get location of pcm an trans control module

The transmission control is integrated into the PCM... the engine and transmission are both controlled by the same unit. You can access them separately via scan tool, but physically they are one unit.

The PCM is located on the passenger side firewall inside the vehicle. It is all the way behind the dash and AC duct work.

The PCM is not immediately noticeable if you aren't looking in the right spot as it is well hidden. From the passenger floor, pull back the carpet and locate the 10mm bolt and ground wires attached to a metal bracket. This is the PCM holder. Remove the 10mm bolt and grasp the bracket, pulling it straight down. The top of the bracket just sits in rubber guides, so nothing to detach up there.
With the bracket slid down, you will see the PCM attached. You can them flip/rotate the PCM down so you can access the electrical plugs. There is no need to unplug the PCM first, there is plenty of slack to remove it while still plugged in.
