Understood, but I'm not sure what you mean by making this statement. That is what your separation is from the military.

The application that you are filling out though is trying to determine if you are a VEVRAA law protected individual. You would be as you served active and and will have been released within 3 years of their considering you for a job. That makes you a protected veteran for that period of time after separating.

So, you'd be a "recently separated veteran" and fall under those VEVRAA law protections.
